Overview:
The IronPort C360D email security appliance is the specialized
IronPort C-Series product, optimized to meet the unique requirements
of email transaction confirmations, investor updates, and marketing
newsletters. With the latest in email sender authentication
technology, the IronPort C360D ensures timely and efficient
communications with customers while allowing enterprises to
manage and protect their corporate identities on the Internet.
The IronPort C360D has been designed to lower the costs of
managing high volume mail delivery. The user interfaces have
been designed with high usability standards and refined based
on administrator feedback. Powerful enterprise monitoring integration
and custom alerting truly makes the systems “set-and-forget”
allowing administrators to focus on priorities other than mail
delivery.
IronPort built its email security appliance line from the
ground up to deliver on the performance requirements of today.
A single IronPort C360D can replace up to ten traditional servers
running software like sendmail, postfix, or qmail. In addition,
massive connection concurrency allows fast mail to bypass slow
mail and ensure prompt mail delivery.

Features:
The IronPort C360D is purpose-built to meet the outbound
communication needs of enterprises by providing a powerful multi-layered
approach with unique features and integrated technology.
Ensure Messages Get Delivered
Sender authentication technology support is one of
the most unique features provided by the IronPort C360D. Phishing
threats are causing ISPs to rapidly adopt new technologies to
establish the true identity of email senders and protect their
user base. Every IronPort C360D contains DomainKeys Identified
Mail (DKIM), and DomainKeys verification and signing technology
to digitally sign each outgoing message and establish your identity
with receivers on the Internet.
Virtual Gateway technology intelligently segregates
email traffic across different IP addresses to maintain consistent
reputation across all outbound communications. This solution
ensures that marketing mail gets one IP address, and transactions
get another— protecting the reputation of both.
Delivery control allows you to fine tune the maximum
number of connections and rate of message delivery to each domain,
ensuring responsible interaction with receiving servers. Additionally,
IronPort’s unique Global Unsubscribe feature ensures that specified
users and domains will never receive messages from the IronPort
C360D, enabling compliance with regulations like CAN-SPAM. Optional
anti-virus scanning is also available.
Enterprise Management Tools
Centralized Management eliminates a single point of
failure with superior “peer to peer” architecture and makes
managing multi-box installations of IronPort email security
appliances simple. The ability to manage configuration at multiple
levels allows organizations to manage globally while complying
with local policies.
Unique real-time reporting provides an intuitive Web
UI and allows campaigns to be monitored in real time to resolve
any delivery issues, delegate responsibility, and enable different
departments to monitor delivery status from their own set of
IPs.
Benefits:
Integrated Control The IronPort C360D shares the management
and reporting tools of all IronPort C-Series appliances; so
one IT team can manage and report on the entire corporate email
system.
Unrivaled Throughput The IronPort C360D can deliver
critical mail more than an order of magnitude faster than most
traditional mail transport agents. The solution enables you
to immediately reduce your operating costs by replacing racks
of traditional servers with IronPort C360D appliances, which
can deliver up to 800,000 messages per hour.
Bypass Slow Mail AsyncOS, IronPort’s proprietary operating
system, supports up to 10,000 simultaneous connections and up
to as many message queues. These per-domain destination queues
ensure that slow connections will not hold up fast mail, and
that upholding customer service SLAs will be simple.
High Availability The IronPort C360D utilizes redundant
hardware components to achieve business critical availability.
A RAID subsystem and hot-plug power supplies define hardware
availability. Secure protocols for message delivery and administrator
access ensure the security of your communications and network.
Reduced TCO The IronPort MTA platform enables massive
reduction in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by consolidating
multiple technologies onto a single platform. The IronPort solution
uses self-managing security services to provide the lowest maintenance
solution in the industry with minimal configuration requirements.
